Preface:

Underprivileged students especially in Bangladesh suffer a lot from lack of guidance, availability of resources, and skill development opportunities. They suffer from the lack of a platform where they can join to become competent, socially and academically. Community Development for Peace (CDP) works to give opportunities and scopes to students from lower socio-economic backgrounds to empower them. In accordance with that, CDP is launching this social impact project. The first phase of this project has students from the Korail slum and neighbouring areas and runs for 16 weeks at one go.

Project Objectives:

• To prepare secondary & higher secondary students for board examinations.
• To familiarize them with the admission test procedure and preparation strategies.
• To impart English communicative skills with public speaking & presentation methodologies. 
• To introduce the students to in-demand skills and life-changing opportunities.
• To spark leadership skills in the students to become better citizens and contributors.
• To make them aware of physical health and mental health.
• To make the students socially competent, productive, and smart.
• To introduce them to entrepreneurship and personal savings.
• To impart professionalism to the students and turn them into future change-makers.

Execution:

6 instructors having multiple teaching experiences from different universities of Bangladesh have been chosen to mentor the students under this program. The 1st phase of this project runs for 16 weeks and covers SSC English, HSC English, SSC ICT, HSC ICT along with other practical lessons on skill development and leadership qualities. The logistics and operations of the program are being administered by the Community Development for Peace – CDP

Program Outcome:

All participants of this program will receive certificates upon completion and priority for future opportunities and scholarships. The best-performing students will receive aid for their educational needs.
